There are many and varied ways to get involved in the life of St. Aidan's and to get to know other parishioners. Get a glimpse of the ministries of the church through these slides presented at the 2017 Annual Meeting.
Moms' Group - Mothers of St. Aidan's gather about once a month for fun and fellowship. We might have dessert at someone's home, or go out to dinner together, or do some form of outreach. If you are interested in hearing more, contact Elizabeth Rees (email@example.com).
Mens' Group - Men of all ages gather periodically to cook out or go to a ball game. If you are interested in hearing more, contact Holden Hoofnagle (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Hospitality Group - This group is involved, often behind the scenes, in things like coffee hour and special events. If you are interested in learning more, contact Susan Harding (SJHarding121@gmail.com).
Newcomers Group - This group tries to welcome new faces in Church on Sunday and delivers fresh bread to newcomers during the week. If you are interested in this ministry, contact Karen Offringa (email@example.com).
Dinner Groups - Each fall, groups of about 10-15 people are formed that take turns hosting a dinner group in their home. Usually, the host provide a main dish and other folks bring the rest. This is a fun and informal way to get to know fellow parishioners better. Kids are more than welcome! If you are interested, contact Elizabeth Rees (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Oktoberfest - Every year St. Aidan's Church and Day School put on a massive Oktoberfest party for the community. We have traditional German food, an oompah band, a silent auction, and great kids' activities like a Cake Walk, face painting, and pumpkin decorating. To get involved, or donate something to the Silent Auction, contact the Church (email@example.com).
Shrine Mont Parish Retreat - There is no better way to get to know people and have a great time than our annual parish retreat to Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs the first full weekend of every August. For more information, contact Elizabeth Rees (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Christmas Tree Sales - St. Aidan's sells the most beautiful and lush trees and wreaths in town! Each year, dozens of people come together to sell trees. The community loves this event, with the roaring fire, hot cocoa, joyful Christmas music and interesting projects involving kids and extra fir fronds. St. Aidan's offers 10% of proceeds back to the local schools.
